"We had hoped that by employing puerile identity politics, and with the media's help, we could cover for my lack of message, and for our party having sold out to Wall Street and corporate America. But after what we did to Bernie, and after losing to somebody like Trump, we had no choice but to scapegoat the Russians."-What Hillary Clinton should have written in her book
On his way to the presidency Trump managed to insult almost every demographic there is....and still won.
Only one person to blame here Hillary. Yourself.
Everyone but Hillary Clinton.
This book and that list of perpetrators is indicative of her entire mindset and personality and exactly why I didn't vote for her and why I'm glad she's not President.
Don't get me wrong, I'm sick that Trump is running this country, but I would have been little happier if Clinton had won.
I voted for Hillary Clinton because I thought she was a better candidate than Trump, but I would have preferred to vote for Bernie, as would many others. I think that the presidency could have been Bernie's if he had been the candidate and the country would be much better off now. I blame Hillary and the DNC for getting Trump elected and I wish she would just shut up about her loss.
Maybe next time don't completely misjudge the electorate and try to pass through a neoliberal candidate with as much heart and soul as a tree stump
All true. A lot of things had to go wrong (including many more) for her to lose. But she was also deeply unpopular, and remains so, and her post-mortem is not helpful. And Trump's team is very happy that she's still hanging around in public life, because she was the only Democrat they could have possibly beaten, and they still like to beat her up. She has contributed much in public life, and would have been an excellent President, but it's time for her to retire.
Won by 3 million votes, actually. Why aren't people writing books about the Electoral College, which has given the loser of the election the Presidency in 2 out of the past 5 occasions?
I'm telling you. She will never take responsibility for her own actions. She's too out of touch and self entitled to even think that. I'm going to wait till her book is on sale or for free at the library to pick it up. I don't want to give her another dime. But I honestly would think it be good for a laugh.
No matter what the causes were, I still support Hillary Clinton. I support and thank her for what she has accomplished, for what she wanted to accomplish, and for being a strong, caring woman. I think the fact that she is a strong woman is what really caused her loss. If the party would have run her as a vice president candidate with Bernie Sanders or Joe Biden as the presidential candidate, she would have been elected, and would have been elected as president the next time she ran. This country is just still too much of the 'good old boy' cliche
At least she included herself on the blame list, which is nore then can be said for many politicians (including a certain one in that country who's only recently become a professional politician and still finds it hard to let go of his previous career).
