Sounds good on paper, but way more complicated to implement in real life. They tried it in Vermont in 2011, and it collapsed due to excessive costs. Switzerland provides universal healthcare run through private exchanges.
My son was in a German hospital for 6days, emergency surgery, immaculate hospital,NO BILL WHATSOEVER! This hospital didn't even HAVE a billing department. This is real. ❤️ You Bernie!
Why don't they call up old Theresa May and ask her how they do it in England. It's taken out of your taxes and your healthcare is free. I'm all for it!
sorry Bernie you stand for actual logic and human decency- no matter how good your proposal is it will never pass with so many republicans in office trying to prove the big boys are back.
Medicare was introduced in 1962. As a national program for everyone. Old ppl got it as a compromise, a test program. It's been a huge success!
The ACA was Nixons plan in 1972. Yes, the Republican plan! It's an improvement but not enough. And other countries get basic dental - we want that!
Many of these are potential Democratic Presidential candidates. They want the Bernie supporters who,in large part, are to blame for us being stuck with Trump now.
Sanders is damn right in saying support is growing for a single payer system! That is the way health as a RIGHT for ALL Americans will be achieved.
Single payer? Ha, maybe, in 15-20 years, then only if the political climate swings away from the corporatist free market anti-taxers. Just don't see it gaining traction among the majority of todays politicians.
If Sanders didn't frag Hillary and the entire democratic party, this might see some movement. Instead it's DOA. If Sanders is serious about single payer healthcare, he'd better stop trying to take down the only people who might work toward his goal.
America maybe ready but not the Republican Party and more then a few from the Democratic Party. I don't want to hear how it will make business go belly up either. Any business that has employees in Europe, Japan and a dozen other places has had healthcare for years if not decades.
