How about all the multi millionaire's donate 1 million each since they are sitting on millions and millions of dollars and can waste it on huge homes and plastic surgery and fast cars etc etc..,and leave the normal public struggling to buy A house or groceries or put their kid into college alone !!!!
How wonderful, but sad that relief victims need to hold fundraisers for money, but when the banks or rich corporations ask for bail out they get it with no need to payback. What a messed up society we live in.
Let's see if the money actually goes to the victims ...I doubt it very much...look at Haiti perfect example of the corruption because they still starving
Yea sure we're is the money going to I just got a letter from FEMA that my county don't qualify for assistance!!!!!!! And there is damages every we're in this county Osceola, florida
Wait....what? So our President donated one million and everyone complained but these people, who are very rich had a telethon and only raise 14 million? That's like I give a hundred and my fellow Americans only give 14 dollars.?I'd love to see a list of what these celebrities contributed dollar for dollar. But you all complain that our President only donated a million dollars??????Hate must be so exhausting.
Actions speak louder than words. If the celebrity's truely care they will each donate a minimum of $500,000 each. So to all of them I say this... Put up or shut up.
Cool. The irony is if those celebrities donated the change in their couch it could probably far exceed whay they got from this benefit. Still its great what they did. Just taking tge time was pretty cool of them.
They said in the main article who the donations were going to. None of them included red cross or united way. It is not the responsibility of these celebrities to do it all, they are less than 1% of the US. At least they donated something and donated their time. Why are we always so negative. Be happy it's going to relief effort and that over 300,000,000 has been donated already. This shouldn't be dividing us, this should be uniting us. Should racism and the like be done on the telethon, I don't think so. Mother nature knows no color, religion or government affiliations. We are humans! Let's treat each other as such
Please don't forget about our citizens in the USVI. They endured 7-8 hours of 160+ mph winds and there's a real humanitarian crisis going on there as well.
If you are one of the people politicizing this benefit, you are part of the problem. This was an opportunity for everyone to come together and give what they could to a good cause and help the thousands of people affected by the hurricanes. There is nothing negative to say about this.
